Brief History: John Robbins was the first president of the Fredericksburg Area Running Club, and was one of the nations first liver transplant recipient. He was also the first to run his first marathon post transplant, and became an avid runner and supporter of all youth running in the region. It was his driving force within the running community that helped to make the running club a highly successful club. Please celebrate his life, and those of others by choosing to donate.

Brief History: John Robbins was the first president of the Fredericksburg Area Running Club, and was one of the nations first liver transplant recipient. He was also the first to run his first marathon post transplant, and became an avid runner and supporter of all youth running in the region. It was his driving force within the running community that helped to make the running club a highly successful club. Please celebrate his life, and those of others by choosing to donate.

Civitans 10k/5k
Monday - May 27 at 7:00 AM
The YMCA Civitans 10k/5k is run along a scenic course, and the proceeds go to the Civitans Club. The Civitans is a national organization that aids special needs adults and children. Come support this cause by running (or walking) in this year's event.
Races start and finish at the Fredericksburg City Library on Caroline Street.

Thanksgiving Turkey Trot 5k - November 22
The 20th Annual Turkey Trot has grown from 200 runners to over 2300 participants making this one of the favorite events of the year. Come celebrate with the YMCA and Mary Washington Healthcare in their endeavor to celebrate Thanksgiving with friends and family!
Race starts at Fredericksburg Expo Center, 2371 Carl D Silver Parkway, Fredericksburg, Va 22401
Packet pickup on Wednesday, November 23rd at Fredericksburg Expo Centerl from 11-5 PM for all races!

Thanksgiving Turkey Trot 1 Mile for Kids
This is a great event for those who are 12 and Under who find the 5k a bit too much for them. With over 500 kids participating this past year we look forward to growing it to include an 800 meter dash for the 5 and Unders!

Pohanka Cadillac - Colonial Beach Sprint and Olympic Distance Triathlons -July 13 & 14 at 6:50 AM
Come this July we will be celebrating 31 years of the longest held triathlon in the state of Virginia (International Distance). The sprint distance triathlon is great for experienced and for those who are new to the sport.This event is part of the Virginia Triathlon Series with SetUp Events.

These events are held at scenic Colonial Beach where the course is FAST and FUN!
Healthy Kids Day 5k Run & Youth Mile Run
The King George Family YMCA announces the YMCA Healthy Kids Day/ NSWC 5k and 1 mile Kids Fun Run. The 5k is part of the YMCA Pohanka race series. The race will be run on Saturday, March TBA. The 5k will start at 8am and the 1 mile Kids Fun Run will start at 9:30am. The fee for the 5k is $15.00 and $10.00 for the 1 mile Kids Fun Run. Registration forms are available at www.family-ymca.org or at the King George YMCA. Registrations begin February TBA. Late registration ($5.00 extra) starts March TBA. Online registration is available atwww.racetimingunlimited.com. Prizes will be awarded to the three overall winners in each race as well as the three winners of each age group.
